The Power of One

January 8th, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

What is your top goal or resolution?  If you have several, and you’re struggling to meet them, then they may be conflicting with each other.  In yesterday’s post I mentioned the rate of change, and how it can be tough to change too much too fast.  Today’s entry focuses on the number of changes and is just as important.

Most of us don’t have the luxury of remaking our entire life all at once.  Unless you join the military or head out to a remote retreat, your life is probably relatively stable.  Adding additional exercise, new diets, different sleep patterns, and more time with friends is a recipe for exhaustion.

Why not change one item for January, and pick a second, different aspect for February?  It worked for Benjamin Franklin, but that will be another post.
