New Year’s Resolutions for Two

January 1st, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

No matter what your New Year’s Resolution is, it is probably more fun to do it with a friend. We want to help.

For THE ENTIRE YEAR OF 2010, we will provide a second license for single-step customers, absolutely free.

Update: Extended through 2011!

Here’s how it works:

  • Purchase a copy of single-step version 3.  If you already own it, you’re included.
  • Post a comment in response to this blog posting stating your goal and deadline.  Public commitment can be a huge motivator.
  • Send an email to contact@single-step.com to identify yourself and claim the posting.
  • Make sure to send your friend’s name in the email so we can create the personalized license!

We’ll reply to your email with a free license for your friend.

This offer is good for existing customers of single-step version 3 as well, so there’s no reason to go into 2010 without a partner to help you reach your goals.

Best wishes in 2010!

-Ken

Great Product. Really excited to get started and hopeful for its future evolution.

My Goal is to complete graduate school and cultivate healthy relationships.

Thanks for creating a product that will assist me in this process.

So far, of all 7 or 8 software pieces I have reviewed, yours is in number one place: 2 questions: what is the current price? Do I still get a second license free? Thank you and great job! Oh another question, do I get a hard copy of the software on a CD?

  4. January 2nd, 2012 at 19:06 | #4

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for your feedback, it is nice to hear we rank on top! The current price is $49.5, and yes you still get a second license. We do not ship a CD for this price, though there are options for this in our shopping cart. Personally, I just recommend that people burn a copy themselves at home. Much cheaper.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best regards,

    -Ken

I checked out 8 different goal setting softwares. Single-Step stood out as the best, plus I couldn’t resist your discount offer. I used it to evaluate the other websites offering goal setting tools and softwares. I found single-step to be the easiest to use, comprehensive and clear and to the point. My next Goal is to set my next 5 goals so I can fulfill my dreams and desitres for the year 2012.. Thanks again!

Oops, one of my goals is going to be to review my typing so I can be free from errors..LOL, and my Goal to write down 5 extra goals is Jan 31st, 2012

Thanks Ed, and everyone else with the courage to post! It is interesting to me how few people actually post here to claim their second license. I suspect it is a mix of people not having a partner to work with on their goals, or not wanting to commit publicly and then accept defeat for not achieving them.

I encourage everyone to share their goals with friends and family, even if you’re not interested in sharing them online. A strong support network, and the feedback of loved ones, can make a tremendous difference in your level of success.

    All the best in 2012!

Hi–just now downloading the software and have not set it up just yet. Looking forward to rocking the rest of 2012 by creating and making an iphone app available on the Apple Store. Question for you Ken, is there a download for a Mac? For the second license?

  11. July 28th, 2012 at 04:36 | #11

Just created my new goal for creating iphone app. Very easy to use. Have 3 hour plane ride tomorrow that I’ll use to add more goals. Love that this tool is local software. Finally a great program that isn’t on the cloud. Perhaps one day it would be nice, but love that it’s local to my computer.

Thanks Ken for such a great tool!

    Hi Tracy,

Thanks, I’m thrilled to hear you’re enjoying it. Unfortunately we do not have a Mac version. Please let me know when you’re ready for the second license.

    Best regards,

    -Ken

I bought this software less than a week ago and it had already helped me to achieve one short-term goal that I had previously been blocked on. The software helped me to simplify the goal and to make it achievable . . . what more could I ask? Also, having achieved that goal other short, medium and long-term goals are feeling very “do-able”.

    Thank you

    Hi Julie,

Thanks for posting, I’m thrilled to hear that single-step helped you get past the block. I’ll follow up separately for your second license.

    Best regards,

    -Ken

Just a reminder everyone, please don’t hesitate to post your goal and contact us for your second license. As you can see from the threads, only a very small percentage of our customers take the opportunity to “own” their goal publicly as well as the chance to work together with a friend.

Just purchased my copy of single step. Tried the trial version and liked it very much. My greatest challenge is following through – finishing something that I start. I will update the readers about my experience with the software later. Thks.

Just bought the software two weeks ago. Started with one short term goal – to finish all my academic projects before they were due – was successfully able to do that. Now I am trying to stick to a new work out routine and this goal is for 90 days. So far I am doing well. The visualization helps a lot.

I am progressing bit by bit through your excellent goal setting software. It makes life easier, especially when the goal are chunked dows (micro-goals).

    Great motivational program.

    Thanks
